Writing link posts is definitely not about sending people away, but rather about guiding your users to even more wonderful content and letting other bloggers know you appreciate their work, just as you would like yours to be appreciated.

But just like with almost any other type of blog posts, there are some things you could do to make it GREAT instead on a simple or even a good link post.

Twitter has their own tools for displaying Twitter status on website, but they are pretty slow and not too varied or maybe you just need don’t know about such plugins, that’s why I chose to take research and create comprehensive list with Twitter related Wordpress plugins and tools that will help you unite Twitter with your blog.

I feel like now everybody knows and uses all those popular plugins, which everybody mention on their blogs and repeat many times without big sense. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to feature not so well known, totally new or just useful plugins you’ve probably never seen before. All plugins are very carefully picked, this is absolutely not some random list.

Six of the best blogs/websites/blogs-turned-websites that I’ve come across. Whether it’s something as simple as a ranting mind or as obscure as the latest cheese news, there’s something for everyone here.

Post Secret - updated every Sunday, members of the public anoymously mail their secrets on a postcard. Some of the secrets are touching, others weird, others a bit too close to my own life to be comfortable.

Ironic Sans - With the tagline ‘It Seemed Like A Good Idea On Paper’, David Friedman writes one of the few generally interesting ‘blogs’ out there.

Meish - run by the Guardian’s head of social media development Meg Pickard, Meish is a mix of a lot of things. Lots of it social media related, lots of it arty. What drew me to the site in the first place was the collection of anti-Valentine’s Day cards.

Dyers - a blog run by Jon Dyer who, among other things, has a (slightly worrying) passion for beards. Of particular interest is his photo-quest to try to grow every type of beard he\’s head of.

Celebrities and Cheese - a website that brings updates from thew world of cheese and interviews celebrities… but only about cheese!

A Beautiful Revolution - a website run by Andre Jordan where he speaks with the honesty and beauty of a child. Okay, some of his ‘love’ stories get a bit tiring after a while but the postcards he may send all have a brilliant quality about them that makes you wish you could do that sort of thing a bit better.
